Kwanzaafest '04

12/26/04 Chris Barton, George Barton, Matt Ciampaglia, Jeff Hnatio, Keithel, Joe Sparks

Today's fest began with a yard lap and a trip into the woods. The conditions were ideal, 25 degrees F with light snowfall. First we (Chris, Matt and I) drove the traditional counterclockwise summit loop that finished with the stonewall crossing and Matt was ejected from shotgun. After some baja and descending the steep bank to the road, George joined us. We returned to the woods and went trailblazing through some small pine and encountered an occasional rock. Chris was ejected at one point during this extended period of baja. We located "Danielle cliff" (see Novemberfest '96) and went down the easy way. Eventually we were back on the road. There I rammed the street sign at the intersection and bent the post a bit. Then we returned to the house. Keithel and Jeff arrived and we went back to baja which was the ideal activity for the day considering the swamp ice was not safe. Lots of small trees were run over and rocks driven on. Eventually Joe showed up and he, Keithel, and I went for one last trip in the woods. At one point Keithel was unexpectedly ejected from his shotgun position while talking to Joe who was in the dumpbody. Then we almost tipped the tractor onto its side. More baja was followed by the stonewall crossing and Keithel was ejected on the "bull" section before neutral was engaged. We went down the steep bank and weaved coarsely down the road leaving tracks from side to side. We enjoyed some of Jeff's home video to conclude the fest.
