obtaining artifacts | act of lifting items that are floating in the water, and weigh at least 50 lbs, into a canoe; example artifact: a big wet log |

ride the bull section | two large rocks after the stone wall crossing that give ride qualities like that of a bull and often eject the shotgun passenger |

road canoeing | canoeing on pavement under human power using the canoe trailer and road paddles |
|
road paddles | handles with rubber at one end to push on pavement while road canoeing |
|
road tractoring | tractoring on the road beyond the trail to Mount Tractor or the house driveway |
|
rolling strong | to travel slow in a vehicle that is packed with passengers |
|
shotgun position | location of front seat passenger next to the driver who is susceptible to being thrown or ejected from the tractor because there is only a foot peg and a handle to hold onto |
|
slingshot sledding | technique of car sledding around a corner: As soon as the towing car goes around a tight corner it accelerates, whipping the sledder through the corner and sending him/her past the towing car which is still in motion. |

snow bank climbing | driving the tractor up a snow bank until the back edge of the dump body touches the ground. At this point the tractor must be held in gear so that it does not roll backwards and on top of the pile of passengers that has been dumped out the back of the dump body. |

tree destruction | the removal of trees using the bumper, front axle, wheels, or hands. (usually dead trees but occasionally live if they are really in the way) -also tree wrecking |

turnaround | located on the far side of Mount Tractor at the end of the path |

TV cliff | cliff where a TV was dropped in the spring of '94 in order to wittness an implosion |

washing machine surfing | standing on a washing machine while it is being dragged by the tractor |

wheelie | occurs while ascending a hill with a large load of passengers; eliminates the ability to steer |
|
winterfest | Tractorfests held between the first day of January and the last day of April |
|
yard tractoring | driving the tractor in the yard, often done to warm up the motor |
